Kevin J. O’Donnell is the President and Chief Executive Officer of RenaissanceRe, a leading global property and casualty reinsurer. He joined RenaissanceRe in 1996, with roles over that time including: Executive Vice President and Global Chief Underwriter, President of Renaissance Reinsurance Ltd., and Chief Underwriting Officer for the Company’s joint ventures, Top Layer Re and DaVinci Re. Mr. O’Donnell is actively involved with many industry and educational organizations and is the Chair of The ClimateWise Insurance Advisory Council, a member of the U.S. Department of the Treasury Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance, a member of the Sustainable Markets Initiative Insurance Task Force, Trustee of The Institutes, and a Member of the Board of Overseers for St. John’s University School of Risk Management. He previously served as Chair of the Global Reinsurance Forum, Chair of the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers, and Director of the Reinsurance Association of America. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hamilton College and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Robert Qutub is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RenaissanceRe, where he is responsible for Finance, Investments, Treasury, Operations, IT and Human Resources. Prior to joining RenaissanceRe, Mr. Qutub was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for MSCI Inc. from July 2012 to May 2016, where he managed all aspects of SEC reporting, treasury, investor relations, financial planning and internal controls, as well as other responsibilities. Prior to MSCI Inc., Mr. Qutub was with Bank of America for 18 years, where he held several segment Chief Financial Officer roles. Mr. Qutub holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on the Board of Directors of USAA Federal Savings Bank since June 2014 and also served in the United States Marine Corps.

Shannon Lowry Bender is Executive Vice President, Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at RenaissanceRe. She joined the company in 2021 and is responsible for legal, regulatory, government affairs and compliance matters on a global basis. Ms. Bender has a wealth of legal experience across corporate law, governance and mergers & acquisitions and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Counsel of CIT Group Inc., a publicly listed financial and bank holding company. Prior to working at CIT, Ms. Bender was a Partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York. Ms. Bender earned a B.S. in Telecommunications from the University of Florida and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

Ross Curtis is Executive Vice President and Chief Portfolio Officer for RenaissanceRe with responsibility for the execution of the company’s gross-to-net strategy, by providing oversight for RenaissanceRe’s risk tolerance, portfolio optimization and deployed underwriting capital. He is Chair of RenaissanceRe’s DEI Council and is based in Bermuda. Prior to this, Ross served as Group Chief Underwriting Officer for RenaissanceRe from 2014 to 2022, with responsibility for directing RenaissanceRe’s underwriting strategy, activities and teams across all regions and platforms to ensure the highest levels of consistency and customer service. Between 2010 and 2014, Ross was Active Underwriter of Syndicate 1458, based in London. He was appointed to the Executive Committee of RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. in May 2010. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President of Renaissance Reinsurance Ltd. in Bermuda, primarily responsible for underwriting the International and Retrocessional Property Catastrophe portfolios, along with responsibility for Ceded Reinsurance and involvement in the development of the Specialty Reinsurance lines. Ross joined RenaissanceRe in 1999 as a Catastrophe Reinsurance Analyst and has played a significant role in the ongoing development of the Company’s proprietary Renaissance Exposure Management System (REMS©) and its portfolio analysis methodologies since that time. He earned his Masters degree (Honours) in Mental Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh.

David Marra is Executive Vice President and Group Chief Underwriting Officer for RenaissanceRe, with responsibility for directing the company’s underwriting strategy, teams, risk appetite, and customer engagement activities across all regions and platforms. He is based in our Bermuda and New York offices. Prior to this, Mr. Marra was Chief Underwriting Officer – Casualty & Specialty for RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. and President of Renaissance Reinsurance U.S. Inc. He has been with the company since 2008. Mr. Marra has over 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience, including more than 15 years in the Bermuda reinsurance market in which he held various underwriting and actuarial positions. He holds a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Kentucky and is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
